Hi Everyone,

The South Arkansas Writers met at 2 PM on Sunday, 16 August 2026 at Main Street Pizza in El Dorado. Present were Jack and Janet Ryan, Rick Vosper, and Desireé Stipp-Bethune.

Our next meeting will be at 2PM on 20 September 2026.

Simeon has gone to Conway to begin his college career. No other interesting news.

Writing from Prompts:
1) Desireé read her story, “Tsunami”
2) Janet read her poem, “The Russian Peasant Woman.”
3) Jack read his story, “The Hot Dog Days of Summer.”

We critiqued Janet’s genealogy story, “Ruth A. Wilcox, The Heart of the Story” and Jack’s Chapter 26, “Chuck a Yewy,” from his “The Centaurian Bud Vase” novel. We had some interesting discussions and some good suggestions.
